Celebrating Our Valued Supporters

Thank you to these foundational supporters

Province of Alberta

The Alberta Ministry of Arts, Culture and Status of Women administers the Community Initiatives Program (CIP) to support the province’s non-profit and voluntary sector. The CIP grant provides vital funding across two primary streams: Project-Based grants for local events, programs, and equipment, and the Organizational Development and Collaboration (ODC) stream to help organizations build internal capacity and work together. Ultimately, the program aims to enhance community well-being, foster social outcomes, and enrich the quality of life for Albertans at the grassroots level.

Government of Canada and The Department of National Defence

The Department of National Defence (DND) serves as the military partner in the program, providing the foundational infrastructure and funding for all official training. They supply the uniforms, design the aviation and leadership curriculum, and employ the specialized officers (primarily through the Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service, or COATS) who supervise the youth. Additionally, DND funds and operates the official summer training centers and flight centers where cadets earn their pilot licenses.

Royal Canadian Legion #26 Banff

Royal Canadian Legion #26 Colonel Moore Branch

Royal Canadian Legion #179 Exshaw

The Heart Mountain Legion is a chartered branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, started in 1946.

Rotary Club of Canmore

The Rotary Club of Canmore is an active service organization of local leaders dedicated to supporting the Bow Valley through fundraising and volunteerism. The club hosts major community events like the Canada Day Pancake Breakfast and the Festival of Trees, channeling the proceeds back into local non-profits, youth leadership programs, and high school scholarships. Meeting weekly at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club, they serve as a vital networking and funding hub for local community initiatives.

Wolfe Pack Warriors

The Wolfe Pack Warriors Foundation is an Alberta-based philanthropic organization dedicated to building community, supporting family-centered healthcare, and promoting access to athletics and the outdoors. Inspired by personal experiences with children’s healthcare, the foundation actively fundraises for major institutions like the Stollery Children’s Hospital and the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Locally in the Bow Valley, they partner with regional non-profits to support adaptive sports, youth programming, and community collaboration through initiatives like their Give, Amply, Connect podcast.

Banff / Canmore Foundation

Thank you for being so supportive of all Bow Valley initiatives.

Canmore Lion's Club

The Canmore Lions Club is a dedicated volunteer service organization that has been supporting the Bow Valley community since 1952 under the global Lions motto, “We Serve.” The club raises funds through community initiatives—like their well-known local firewood sales—to provide direct financial support to residents in need, local sports teams, and community organizations. From funding medical equipment and local mobility initiatives to supporting youth programs, the Lions focus heavily on practical, hands-on community aid and fostering local citizenship.

Cascade Lodge #5

Cascade Lodge No. 5 is a historic Masonic lodge based in Banff that has been a quiet staple of fraternal life and community service in the Bow Valley since 1888. Operating from their landmark heritage building on Caribou Street, the Masons focus heavily on charitable outreach, volunteerism, and supporting local youth development.

In line with their commitment to fostering leadership and civic duty, they frequently champion local youth organizations like the Royal Canadian Air Cadets (878 Banff/Canmore Squadron). By providing direct financial assistance, sponsorship backing, and volunteer support, the Masons help ensure that local youth have free access to essential training in aviation, citizenship, and outdoor survival skills.

Albert Provincal Committee - Air Cadet League of Canada

The Alberta Provincial Committee (APC) is the civilian non-profit that bridges national leadership with local squadrons across the province. It manages Alberta’s fleet of gliders and tow planes, handles strict background screenings for local volunteers, and coordinates provincial competitions like effective speaking.
